BOOK EARLY BECAUSE PLACES IN THE WORKSHOPS ARE LIMITED

There are lots of ways to get involved and experience Festival of Voices. You can sign up for one of our four day Workshop Stream or come with your choir and register to perform or do both.
Alternatively you can join us on the weekend of the 5 & 6 July for workshops, gatherings and celebrations and see the performances produced from the Festival Workshop Streams plus a host of other choirs and singing groups.

City of Hobart Eisteddfod Society
The City of Hobart Eisteddfod has a long tradition of performance experience in vocal and instrumental music and drama. Competitors receive helpful and discerning reports from the finest Australian and international adjudicators, and most of the classes have cash prizes.

The Syllabus for the 2008 City of Hobart Eisteddfod is now available

or pick up a hard copy from the following outlets in Hobart: music shops, Fullers Bookshop and the Hobart Town Hall.

Entry closing date: Friday 11 April.

See syllabus for how to lodge entries. The competition commences on Thursday 26 June with the vocal section of the competition, and ends with the Nelle Ashdown Memorial Award at the Highlights Concert on Saturday 26 July. Choral Classes are scheduled for Monday 7 and Tuesday 8 July, and will be adjudicated by Philip Matthias.
